has the time gone?? The past few weeks have been hectic and good and bad but God is there at everyone of those moments. There has been so much death in the last 2 weeks and families trying to figure out where to go from here, even as a christian we struggle with death when in our minds it doesn't make sense but I just keep thinking God does know all and he does see the bigger picture and I have faith to know that he knows!!!!

Erika's birthday, Nicklas birthday this weekend and then a very emotionally funeral on sunday and then it is Thanksgiving and guess what comes the sunday after Thanksgiving????

Last wednesday night, Allison had a wonderful devo for the CLC kids and it has been on my mind for the past few days and I have sang it several times over as a reminder that I am a Promise and God does have my best interests at heart, even though my heart might get broken (which it did this past week) but I have to trust God and have faith that he does see the bigger picture and he does know what is best for this moment in time. We fly thru life sometimes without a care in the world and then we are hit with something, it sometimes stops us right where we stand, that is where faith and trust come in.

This is Max and Hannah, Kadee and Matt's two cats, they need to find a good home for them. Max is the yellow tabby and Hannah of course is the white and gray. They both are very loving cats. They are both fixed and declawed, if you or anyone you know is looking for a cat for your home, these two are ideal.

Just got done raking most of the leaves that were down, cleaned up Boomer doggie doo and then one of the neighbors dog left a great great great big pile next to one of Boomer's little piles, that was disgusting and picked up all the sticks that were down, okay I am free to surf the web and then go cross stitch without feeling guilty. Isn't life grand!!! Enjoy the week suppose to be around 60 degrees, heat wave here we come.......................?

Well it is so had to believe it has been how many days since I was on the blog. I have a little friend at my side as I write tonight. We are trying to help Kadee and Matt to try and find their dog a new home. He is adorable. Only 21 lbs and won't get any bigger, loves to play, only 17 months old. Is house broken and is an inside dog, comes with indoor kennel, leash, outdoor leash, all his toys and etc!! Anyone want him!! I know God has the perfect person for him, please step forward. If you or anyone you know even slightly interested, call me!!

How has your week been?? Mine very busy as usual. Where does the time go, when I was little I could hardly wait to be older and then once the girls came the time even flew faster. We are given so many opportunities in life to witness for God but do we??? It is even just the little things, a smile, giving change to the person ahead of you at the groc store, our attitudes when we are so upset, everything just has the snowball effect. Try it and you will be amazed at what you see. Let me know how it goes, have a great rest of the week!!

Isn't that a song, yes i believe it is and it is true, just hung out jeans and rugs and it is going to be a beautiful day and we need it after the rain. Before I forget please pray for the couple coming to look at Kadee and Matt's house today, they have been trying to sell it for several months and someone is coming so please pray for this. What are you doing with your saturday? Did a couple of loads of laundry and now blogging but then will go on to the rest of the house's chores, you notice I said house's chores not mine, makes it sound like I am doing the chores for the house and I guess in a way I am. In all honesty how many times do you do something just for yourself?? Me.......hardly ever and I don't mean that in a bragging way. One of my gifts is to give and I do, probably sometimes too much but that is how God made me I can't help it. When I was younger I don't think I was so giving but with where we live and how much money we had it was a whole different world and of course I had the girls that needed me most but now that I am older, it is another different world and the giving is so much different. I have more compassion for people and is that a gift from God or maturity from God??? I believe God changes our gifts in life to help fullfill what he desires for our life and with that I will also say sometimes I don't always like those changes, I want to stay in my little world where I think I can keep everyone safe and happy and ...............but it doesn't work that way. With doing the precepts on monday nights from week to week my eyes are opened to a much bigger picture, not that I don't already know that there is a much bigger picture but the scripture we look at and the questions we are asked just opens the door to another question and another question and do we get answers to all of our questions, NO but don't you think sometimes God doesn't want us to have all the answers that way we keep searching for the answers thru him. Well I best go vaccum............dump the cats liter box.........see the chores go on and on...........have a great sunny day!!!!

O my goodness, fall is here and the carefree days of summer are gone, I am meeting myself coming and going and that is not me. I love my life to be simple and it is not simple. Here is just a round down of why I am not blogging, I work full time and then monday night Dave and I are taking the precept class at church (revelation) and so we have about 4 to 5 hours of homework to do before the next monday, tuesday I get home from work and I do my lesson for wednesday night and then go on to the lesson for sunday school (I teach both 1st graders for wednesday night and adults for sunday) and then wednesday go to CLC at church and then thursday night Pearls at church with Jen Hess (that is my veg night and just uplifting night) and then friday night I don't get out of work until 6:30 so makes the night later already so I try not to do anything but sit down with Dave and saturday I clean the house, finish my sunday lesson and the aim for a really nice dinner and then sunday of course church and try and do another nice meal (those are our leftovers for the get home from work nights and change clothes and head back out the door nights) then every about 3 weeks we go see kadee and matt in lansing and in the midst of that is of course laundry, groc shopping, homework and christmas. I know you are probably thinking christmas but yes my thing that I love to do is cross stitch and I try to cross stitch every other year everyone something for christmas, so I started on christmas back in january :) and won't get done until right before christmas, after this pic I am doing right now I believe I won't do anymore big pictures not for a few years, I will stick to smaller ones. So that has been my life............... I do love looking at everyone's blogs I just need to get back to mine!!!!

a couple weeks back I worked with Bill and Paula Coe and Jim and Sharon Lynch at a memorial dinner at our church. What a fun time (well the people I was working with were) and Sharon brought in this flowers to sit on the food table just as a happy hello to the people going thru the line, some might think it is not needed but at a time in our life when things don't seem so great, it is those little things that make the difference

Today is relay for life for Clare county and Dave and I went to the luminary ceremony, it was the neatest thing, everyone knows someone who has either had died from cancer or a survivor or dealing with it at this moment, if you ever get a chance at least go to this part of the ceremony, it will touch you in a way you will never expect

I went and visited some friends that we hooked up with back when we were both in birthing classes almost 27 years ago and we did everything together and then they moved and we moved but kept running into one another, well thru facebook we have reconnected and come to find out they live about 15 minutes away and that daughter they had 27 years ago had her own baby and is pg with another one. This is Layla, she never sits still and her and I just connected, isn't she just a cutie, her mommy is very sick with the second pg and has been in the hospital for the past couple of days and they finally figured out she was having a reaction to the anti-naueous meds they were giving her so they switched and she seems to be doing much better but if you think of Lisa please pray for her and that she gets back on track, they had to move in with mom and dad so they would like to be back in their own home

Bitz loves the pantry, who knows why, she is a cat, well anyhow the other day Dave and I were splitting a sandwich and we kept hearing this noise but thought she was in her liter box, nope dave went and check it out and she got a bag of 9 lives cat food down off the shelf and she had ripped a hole in the buttom and was eating the cat food out of it, she might like the food but it doesn't like her back cuz after about a week of eating it she throws up so that is why it was on the shelf, so being the nice cat owner that I am I get her a little bit every few days and she hasn't started throwing up yet so we will see............

Since we live in a log home every spring it is a battle for us not to have the birds build nest, Dave takes them down at night they have they back up by the next night when he gets home, we even have a mud nest in the corner of the house but it is on the side of the house, when Dave and the birds go back and forth but once they have eggs he doesn't touch them, this year 3 nests won out, there was 3 robins in this one and this was the last robin to leave, the nest is just sticking out and he is sitting on the log waiting to be brave or waiting for mom to say its time!!!!

No pic today but a little thing on Father's Day, my dad died 22 years ago, it doesn't seem that long and I still miss him, I know he is in heaven but I am still sad for myself, my mom, Dave, the girls and my other siblings and family. He wasn't perfect by any means, who is but I still love him big time. There is so many times I think o he would have thought that was funny or he would say what are you thinking??? of course you wasn't thinking and so many other things, he loved the grandkids and that was all his focus the last few months of his life, he wanted us to bring the grandkids by even if he would feeling awful just to watch them. One day when Pastor Steve Skinner was here, Pastor Steve gave him a book on cancer and death and living and he shared with me how he never got past the first page of that book, he read that first page every day until he couldn't, it was scripture that gave him a peace that never left him and the verses where Phillipians 4:4-9, if you get a chance read that scripture and see how those few verses became his life line. He said after reading that he didn't need to read anything else and he knew that God had given him those few lines to him. Thank you dad for being my dad

Our cat Bitz was freaking out the other day and checking out from window to window and this is what she saw, this is the biggest turtle we have seen in our yard since we lived here, once the turtle saw me it shrunk back into itself and it is still this big............

A few postings/pic back you will remember I said I only wanted a flat of flowers well Erika got me a flat of flowers and this foot massager, I am always asking her for a foot massage and I believe this is her way of saying, don't ask me anymore, hmmmmm, she does the best massages, we will see if this compares. Jeremy got me a good smelling candle, one of the those kind you think might taste good but good thing you are old enough to know it really would not be true. Hope you all had a Great Mother's Day!!!!

This is Amy, a co-worker, she is opening her bridal shower gifts at a hotel we were all at a couple of weeks ago, her bridal shower was going to Grandville and going shopping for the afternoon and then to dinner that night, she is getting married tonight in Vegas, please pray for her and Dan and their new marriage, it is a very joyous day and a sad day all at the same time. Jen is a wonderful lady who leads our Pearls night on thursday at 7 at the church if anyone wants to come but anyhow, we played this game called canalilly last week and of course we all won, when i first brought it home, it only had one flower blooming but thru out the week 3 others have popped out with 1 to go, okay okay we didn't really play the game it just work out that we all got one, Thanks Jen for being such a wonderful leader!!!!

For Mother's day, the only thing I ask for is a flat of flowers, i love them, it is an easy gift for the girls, well we celebrated Easter and Mother's Day together this past weekend cuz of schedules and Kadee and Matt got me the flat of flowers and this cute little flying frog, I think I will name him Fred, what do you think???
